sense

as winter fades away &
spring awakens from it's slumber,
i feel it.
daylight lingers a tad longer
like your hugs
when we meet after a fortnight,
or maybe 15 minutes.
in my bones,
i feel it.
layer after layer
of woolen insulation
sheds itself,
hesitant first,
then bolder
like my inhibitions
when you pulled me
into the gentlest of kisses.
on my lips,
i feel it.
as you lie
under your blankets,
you discover a sheen of sweat
covering
the arch of your back,
and it surprises you
pleasantly.
just the way it felt when
we first made love.
on my skin,
i feel you.
in the air,
i feel it.
